Greetings Paddocks Press Reader,
As we prepare to close out the year, I’ve been reflecting on what an incredibly full and meaningful 2025 it has been for our Paddocks community.
We’ve had hundreds of students successfully complete our courses, and it’s been inspiring to see so many trustees, managing agents, property professionals and investor-owners grow in confidence and capability. (And for those already planning ahead, enrolment is open for our next round of courses starting 19 January.) We also took a leap into the world of AI-integrated teaching in collaboration with Next Gen Learning, presenting two advanced courses alongside Paski, a phenomenal custom-built AI-tutor.
One of the standout moments of the year was hosting our first-ever Paddocks Industry Summit - a fully virtual event that brought together leaders, practitioners and passionate community members from across the country. The conversations, insights, and energy shared reaffirmed just how strong and engaged this industry truly is.
Graham and I were also honoured to participate in the STSMA Advisory Council stakeholder input session, where we provided feedback on proposed legislative amendments. Being part of this ongoing process is something we take seriously, and we remain committed to advocating for clarity, practicality, and fairness in sectional title governance.
In addition, I had the opportunity to present two Trafalgar webinars this year - one on “Who Pays?” and another on "Access to Information" - both of which sparked fantastic engagement and discussions.
Graham is loving his semi-retirement. This year he’s taken a keen interest in Life Rights, so much so that there is a new book underway so watch this space! He has also delved deeply into community scheme (particularly HOA) corporate governance issues, and is currently writing and advising on those.
Next year we aim to streamline our operations with the help of AI, scale our private consulting department and release a suite of new courses, books and templates. 2026, here we come!
As we head into the holiday season, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to you for being part of the Paddocks family. Thank you for learning with us, challenging us and continuing to elevate the standard of community living across South Africa.
Wishing you a restful, safe and joyful festive season. We look forward to supporting you again in the new year.
Warm regards,
Jennifer Paddock
